Operating since 1915, the Water & Sewer Department is dedicated to providing the highest quality and most economical service possible, and doing it in a way that protects our natural resources. To accomplish this task, the utility has a water plant capable of processing 24.4 million gallons of water each day, three water reclamation facilities, 386 miles of water lines, 369 miles of sewer gravity and force mains, 108 lift stations, numerous reclaimed water spray and underground drip irrigation systems, and reclaimed biosolids applications programs that safely return reuse water and biosolids to the environment.

Customer Service

Trouble calls are handled by our dispatcher at 351-6775, Monday though Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00PM.  After hours or weekend calls should be made to 351-6775.

All after hour or weekend calls are followed up by our secretarial staff via telephone utilizing a survey check list to verify customer satisfaction with the quality, timeliness, and helpfulness of our on-call staff.

Your feedback on these surveys is essential  to us as we strive to provide the best service we can.

We want to eliminate the causes of customer dissatisfaction. Our goal is to listen to customers without interrupting, agree with their right to complain and thank them for telling us.  Apologize for the problem or for their inconvenience and take action to correct the problem.

Tours

Tours of our facilities are extremely informative and everyone is welcome! We encourage small groups ranging from 5 to 15 persons for tours, which can be scheduled in advance by calling one of the telephone numbers listed below (handicapped access is limited to specified areas).  Due to increased security measures following 911, all persons wishing to tour these facilities must submit picture identification before tour as well as at time of tour.  All online tours have been removed.
