Hanging on to that old refrigerator can actually cost you $150 or more per year to operate, so recycling it is another smart way to save.  For customers living within the City of Ocala, the Public Works department will haul away your old refrigerator for a charge of $12.50. Just call 351-6697 for pick-up information.  Customers living outside of city limits can drop their old refrigerator off at any one of the eighteen County recycle centers.  For location information visit www.marioncountyfl.org or call 671-8465.

A quick way to see if you need more insulation is to look across your uncovered attic floor.  If your insulation is level with or below the attic floor joists, you probably need to add more insulation.
