Water and Sewer
Administration Division

The Administration Division was formed in 1975 when the City's Utility Department was split into the Electric Utility and the Water & Sewer Departments. As the Water & Sewer Department grew to meet the rapidly expanding service areas of the City, a new building was necessary to house the Administration, Water Distribution, Water Meter Shop, Sewer Collection and Lift Station staffs.  In May of 1995, our new facility was completed to meet those needs while incorporating a design for additional expansion in the future. The Water & Sewer Department is located within the City of Ocala's Service Utility Complex at 2100 NE 30th Avenue.

Our Administrative staff provides planning and support for all of our operating divisions and acts as a focal point in the coordination and communication of the individual divisional needs to various city departments, regulatory agencies, other governments, the City managers Office,  the City Council and the public.

These responsibilities include the departmental budget, radio communications and dispatch of repair crews, all departmental records, customer service, employee relations, departmental policies and procedures, as well as strategic planning.

The Administrative staff is comprised of a Water & Sewer Director, Deputy Directorof Maintenance, Deputy Director of Operations, two Administrative Secretaries, one Dispatcher and a Part-time Secretary/Dispatcher.
