OCALA, Fla. (Nov. 20, 2009) - The Ocala Customer Service Office (CSO) has received reports that customers are being called and told that they have a very short time to pay their utility bills or their service will be cut off.

OCALA, Fla. (Nov. 6, 2009) – City of Ocala administrative offices will be closed Wednesday in observance of Veterans Day. The holiday observance will not cause any disruption to the city’s residential or commercial sanitation collection services.

Comprehensive Plan
Comprehensive Planning entails a number of duties including the management of the City's comprehensive plan; a state legislated requirement for all cities and counties in the State of Florida.
The purpose of the plan is to guide and control future development and protect human, environmental, social and economic resources over a ten year timeframe. It is a public policy document that addresses twelve areas including: Future Land Use, Conservation and Ground Water. It is implemented through a collaborative effort amongst City departments. The zoning ordinance is one part of the LDRs which provides such information as allowed uses, lot sizes, setbacks, and building heights. The Planning Department enforces the LDRs through its current planning staff.

A major renovation project on the Ocala Golf Club (commonly cadlled "Muni"), located off East Silver Springs Boulevard, is now complete and the course is open for play.
Control tower at Ocala International Airport soon to serve aviators.
The Silver River Pollution Reduction Drainage Project is designed to improve the quality of stormwater runoff that flows into the Silver River.
