The Zoning office administers and enforces the Land Development Regulations for the City of Ocala.

The major functions of the Zoning office are as follows:

  1. Process applications for : land use changes, rezoning, variances, special exceptions, annexations, and abrogation's.
  2. Act as staff advisors and secretary to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustment.
  3. Process and Coordinate site development plans.
  4. Disseminate information regarding the zoning of property, permitted uses, setbacks, parking requirements and numerous other information contained in the Land Development Regulations Municode Subpart B.
